About Stoney's Free Library
Books for Everyone
Stoney's Free Library was started by Stoney and his desire to change the South Range community in a positive way. After seeing a Free Library on television he decided he wanted to create his own called: Stoney's Free Library.
Stoney's parents, Paulette and Randy Alseth, had a large quantity of books in their garage that they had saved over a number of years, so they decided this would be the perfect opportunity to dust them off of the garage shelves. With this initial collection of books, followed by a purchase of a shed from a local shed-building company, Stoney's Free Library was underway!

Since it's formation Stoney's Free Library has received countless book donations from people around the area. This has led to an expansion by adding another large shed from the original. Stoney has also been recognized on local news stations for his community involvment, been active on the Stoney's Free Library Facebook page, and has been able to spread the joy of reading to people around the area. This is all thanks to the wonderful donations from such a generous community of book lovers.

Stoney's Free Library continues to provide books to the surrounding community, and is willing to take any used books as donations. If you would like to donate feel free to drop your books off at the bin located outside of the red shed, and definitely don't forget to take a book, or two, or twenty home with you!
